  • Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance

The program is aimed at professional dance artists. Artists from related fields are also very welcome.

The workshop will be held in German. Questions can also be asked in English.

11 am - 1.30 pm: Stress management and coping strategies

The workshop deals with the basics of stress management and how one's own resources can be sustainably strengthened: What are stressors in dance, especially in the independent dance scene? What happens in the body during a stress reaction and what long-term consequences does stress have on physical and mental health, e.g. with regard to injuries? Together we will develop individual strategies for dealing with stress through various reflection and practical exercises and discuss how these can be integrated into everyday dance life in the long term.

2 - 4 pm: Mental health and mental training

Working as a dance professional in the independent scene brings with it many opportunities, but also challenges and worries over the course of a career. It is therefore all the more important to have the right methods at hand to deal with these mentally and emotionally and to be able to exploit your own potential. The aim of the workshop is to provide an insight into how various sports psychology methods (e.g. goal setting, self-talk regulation) can be used to promote your own mental health and performance.
