Maria Teresa Jimeno Ortega

Teresa began her studies in 2000 at the prestigious academy "Escuela Nacional de Danza Nellie y Gloria Campobello" (National School of Dance). There she was trained in "Clásico Español" and "Flamenco". In 2005 she received her final degree as "Profesora de Danza Española" at the INBA- Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Institute of Fine Arts). Teresa Jimeno was taught by famous flamenco greats such as Maria Juncal, José Manuel Ramos "El Oruco" and Mercedes Amaya "La Winy".

In addition, Teresa Jimeno continued her education in Modern Dance in order to expand her dance formation. Here she also benefited from renowned choreographers and artists such as Eun Jung Gonzalez (Korea), Mijail Rojas (Cuba) and Osmany Téllez (New York, USA). She has danced on various tablaos in Mexico and Europe and has been part of the cast of several companies. Today she is still a permanent member of the companies "Erika Suárez Compañia deDanza" and "Viva Flamenco"(Mexico). Teresa Jimeno already stood on big stages of the National Theater in Mexico like "Teatro de la Ciudad", "Teatro de la Danza" and "Teatro de las Artes". Here she also presented her own choreographies, among others.
