Laura is a South American Performer, Improviser, Inter-arts Collaborator, Site-Specific Artist and Educator currently completing her Master's (MACoDE) in Frankfurt. A 2019 graduate of London Contemporary Dance School Laura has worked with Divadlo Studio Tanca, Martin Kilvady, Milan Tomasik, Stanislav Dobák (Ultima Vez) Lívia Méndez Marín Balážová (Ultima Vez), Peter Mika, Stanislava Vlčeková, to name a few. In 2021 she completed the 5 weeks training of Flying Low & Passing Through with David Zambrano.

Training Contemporary Dance

This class will explore the principles of gravity, groundedness, and flow while moving us through acrobatic elements. Inspired by Flying Low, we will use spirals to move in and out of the floor, while contracting and expanding the whole body or different parts of it to create smooth pathways. Using our experience with Release Techniques, we will approach acrobatic elements like lifts, balances, handstands and aerial jumps, to introduce dynamics and risk-taking, while also working with gravity, momentum, and falling to aid in our exploration of flow.
