In connection with her production “Das innere Beben” as part of the 10-day freischwimmen festival, choreographer Nadine Gerspacher led a professional contemporary dance workshop as an intensive week at the production center from April 29 to May 3, 2024.

Cost: Drop-in class, no advance registration required; 90 minutes: 10 euros, reduced rate 5 euros (PZ members, high school students, and college students). Participation was also possible on individual days.

In her work, Nadine Gerspacher explores contemporary dance by incorporating movement tasks and situations that playfully connect people and focus on the energy of body language. The choreographer invites everyone to participate in technical exercises, including floor work, games, and challenging phrase compositions. Students learn to activate and ground their center in a way that allows them to experience optimal freedom of movement. Partner work, guided improvisations, and theatrical exercises are at the heart of the class, designed to foster a joy of play and creativity in movement and expression.
