Online-Workshop mit Wayra Schübel

Online-Kommunikation und Social Media für Künstler*innen

  • Fri, 22.01.2027
  • 2 – 4 pm
  • Online via video conference

How can freelance artists make their work more visible online? Which digital channels and formats are best suited to their artistic practice, and how can communication around projects, rehearsals and premieres be organised effectively?

In this practice-oriented online workshop, we explore the fundamentals of an effective digital presence. Topics include target audiences, tone of voice and a recognisable public profile, as well as the practical use of social media: Which channel is best suited to which purpose, and how can communication be managed with limited time and budgets? Using concrete examples from the independent arts scene, we will look at how projects can be accompanied and documented online, and how digital communication can effectively complement press work and funding activities. Participants will gain practical insights and concrete approaches for their own communication. They are also welcome to bring their own questions and projects. The workshop will be held online and in German.

Wayra Schübel works as a freelance cultural communications professional. For whom?
The workshop is aimed at freelance artists working in dance, performance and theatre who wish to strengthen their digital visibility and improve their online communication around their artistic practice and projects. No prior knowledge of social media is required.

The workshop is funded by the Cultural Office of the City of Stuttgart. It is part of a two-part workshop series designed to support freelance artists in communicating their artistic work and vision clearly and effectively. From putting artistic practices into words and developing compelling texts for funding applications to communicating authentically via social media and other digital channels, the series focuses on practical approaches to increasing the visibility of artistic work and reaching different audiences.
