SHORTIES is a cooperation between the FITZ, the Stuttgarter Filmwinter - Festival for Expanded Media and the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance e.V. 
Every second month, short pieces from the fields of theater, dance and film are combined on one evening to create a special cultural experience.

If you are an artist from Baden-Württemberg and work in the field of contemporary dance/movement theater or figure/object/material theater, apply now!

We show two to a maximum of three short formats per evening, each lasting 15 to 30 minutes. These will be accompanied by a suitable short film program.

  • Tue, 16th of December 2025, 7:30 pm (Location: FITZ)
  • Tue, 10th of February 2026, 7:30 pm (Location: FITZ)
  • Tue, 21st of April 2026, 7:30 pm (Location: FITZ)
  • Tue, 9th of June 2026, 7:30 pm (Location: FITZ)


Fee/travel costs

  • Evening fee of 310,-€ per actor (max. 750,-€ per piece)
  • For groups that do not come from Stuttgart, a travel allowance is possible by arrangement

Technical conditions

For the technical set-up and support of the event on the day of the performance, we ask that you keep the entire day of the event free. This will give both ensembles the opportunity to set up and make a technical run-through if necessary. In exceptional cases, it is also possible to set up the day before by prior arrangement.

  • Binding indication of availability on the above dates (several options are welcome)
  • Short biography of the actors or link to the website 
  • Technical rider with lighting plan 
  • Details of special effects (fog, fire, etc.)

In consultation with the technical management, we will decide by 25th of June 2025 and inform you promptly.
