The 2024 International Solo Dance Theater Festival was accompanied by a wide-ranging supporting program featuring professional training sessions and workshops for professional dancers at the Produktionszentrum. 

Professional Training in Contemporary Dance // with Emreçan Tanis

Emreçan Tanis is a Turkish choreographer and dancer with the Finnish National Ballet who lives in Finland. He has created several works for the Finnish National Ballet and the Finnish National Ballet School. In 2024, he will serve as a juror at the International Solo Dance Theater Festival.

Contemporary Dance Workshop // with Simona Machovičová
Saturday, March 16, 2024, 4.00 – 5.30 pm

Simona Machovičová won the Public’s First Choice Prize at the 19th International Solo Dance Theater Festival in Stuttgart in 2015. Born in Slovakia, the dancer, performer, and choreographer studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, specializing in choreography. She has received awards for her choreographic works at the International Solo Dance Theater Festival in Stuttgart and at the Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade.
