“Raum & Wurst” understands the shared table as a political space: a place where differences become visible, negotiation takes place, and the sharing of space, time, and attention can be explored. The audience moves from one location to another throughout the city, experiencing site-specific artistic interventions that emerge from conversations with local restaurateurs. In this way, temporary spaces of encounter are created, where sitting and eating together are explored as social and democratic practices. The project asks how living together can succeed under conditions of diversity and what responsibility we bear for shaping shared spaces.
