She has been working as a freelance choreographer, dancer, performer and dance teacher since 2012. As artistic director, she has been creating full-length productions under the label DAGADA dance since 2014. Karolin has shown her work nationally and internationally in Freiburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Cologne, Basel/CH, Brest/FR, Haarlem/NL and Prague/CZ, among others. In 2018, she received the Innovation Prize for Socioculture and the BKM Prize for Cultural Education for a project she artistically directed with refugees (the most highly endowed national prize in the field of cultural mediation). As one of 12 independent established ensembles based in Germany, DAGADA dance was invited to the TANZLAND guest performance workshop in 2022, organized by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland and the Kulturstiftung des Bundes in cooperation with the INTHEGA houses. She was a co-founder and active member of tanznetzIfreiburg (2018-2022). Since September 2021 Karolin is co-director of the education programs at bewegungs-art freiburg.

Simon Wehrli (Switzerland / Slovenia)
started out as a musician, then attended the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Verscio (CH) and studied contemporary dance at Trinity Laban London (UK). Simon has toured in Europe, the USA and Africa as part of the theater group Collettivo Spettatori, the dance improvisation group 50collective and “Sons of Sissy”/Simon Mayer. He has worked as a dancer, actor and musician for choreographers in London, New York, Brussels, Porto, Zurich and Basel, among others. From 2010 to 2015, he took part in various projects by David Zambrano (including “50 days of flying low and passing through Costa Rica”). In 2013, his first full-length production
“Greatest Hits” premiered in co-production with Tanzhaus Zürich, followed by the site-specific performance “How to become Clairvoyant”. From 2015, further pieces followed in collaboration with Jasmina Križaj (False Entries, Nature Poetry, Nothing Works (Shakira, Shakira), Deep Purple). In recent years, he has also increasingly developed pieces with young people (e.g. Zurich Opera House). Simon is also a guest lecturer for the Bachelor of Dance at Manufacture Lausanne (CH) and regularly teaches at other institutions.
