Series of events by FITZ, Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance & Stuttgarter Filmwinter

Every two months on a Tuesday evening, short contributions by artists from Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg from the fields of puppet theater, dance and film combine to create a special cultural experience.

Programme

»Fragments« // Mike Planz & Donya Ahmadifar

Fragments is a choreographic space of approximation, a border area where language disintegrates and the body becomes the bearer of an older, nameless knowledge. Breath opens fine cracks in the fabric between self and other, as if something foreign and indeterminate were pushing inward from there. An echo pervades the space—a question never formulated, which does not answer but conjures. Movement appears as a ritual without origin, as a circling trail that devours itself. Gestures emerge like relics of something forgotten and sink back beneath the surface.

Choreography: Mike Planz
Dance:
Donya Ahmadifar
Dramaturgical accompaniment:
Johannes Szilvássy

»Es geht mir gut«
// HMDK Stuttgart
A play with puppets, recorders, and texts by Peter Licht

I'm fine. I'm healthy and I have money. The sun is shining and every now and then a drop falls from the sky. But something isn't right. The world could lose its balance. The production by the second-year puppetry students at HMDK Stuttgart was loosely based on “Die Geschichte meiner Einschätzung am Anfang des dritten Jahrtausends” (The Story of My Assessment at the Beginning of the Third Millennium) by Peter Licht and created in collaboration with recorder students.

Play: Elio Jaeger, Zina Strunz, Josepha Flemming (students in Prof. Julika Mayer and Jule Hölzgen's class)
Recorder:
Anna Zimmermann and Sumin Yu (students in Carolin Daub's class)

Short film programme // Curated by Giovanna Thiery (Stuttgart Filmwinter)
