Event series by FITZ, Production Centre for Dance + Performance & Stuttgart Film Winter
Every two months, on a Tuesday evening, short pieces by artists from Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg in the fields of puppetry, dance and film are brought together to create a unique cultural experience.
Programme
»the Glory of it« // Saskia Hamala & Leonard Exner
the Glory of it is a dance piece by the duo Leonard Exner and Saskia Hamala, who have been collaborating in close artistic exchange since 2023. A sensitive dialogue emerges from a shared approach to movement, presence and openness; Leonard dances with Down’s syndrome – as part of their practice, without taking centre stage.
The piece explores the transience of life in relation to the vastness of time and space. Encounters arise between different perceptions – a brief moment full of depth, carried by love, hope and breath.
Choreography & Dance: Saskia Hamala & Leonard Exner
»Hochhausgeflüster« // Kokeliko Theater, Stuttgart
The Kokeliko Theater, a collective comprising Felix Heil, Charlotte Höflich and Kristof Klein, develops poetic, physical theatre works on social themes. In their latest creation, we look into a high-rise building full of diverse lives, all touched by loneliness.
In short, sometimes humorous episodes, puppetry, dance and non-verbal storytelling combine to create an atmospheric exploration of isolation and the longing for connection.
Performed by: Charlotte Höflich, Kristof Klein & Felix Heil in artistic collaboration with Alberto García Sánchez
Short film programme // Curated by Giovanna Thiery (Stuttgarter Filmwinter)
