Programme
»fish-i« // Nóra Vermes
The fish lives its world: doesn't ask questions, doesn't interpret, doesn't think. (I think.) It exists. Then it is fished and meets man. When the human describes the fish, the fish sees itself through the human. Until now, the fish would never have thought that it was the way it has just been described. Although he had not thought otherwise of himself. But now, seeing the human, it thinks. Well, I am thinking. So the fish in my imagination is thinking.
Concept, direction, play: Nóra Vermes
Text: Teppei Higuchi
Artistic supervision: Prof. Julika Mayer, Prof. Florian Feisel
»Within« // Emilia Dorr
»Within« is a collection of attempts to establish a relationship with the Other. It is a search for meaning through encounters with the otherness of the space, the audience and the invisible. The performance explores how we can relate to a particular context and embrace the otherness of what surrounds us to create space for new narratives to emerge from these unexpected encounters.
Performance: Emilia Dorr
Sound and technical support: Carlos Hernández
»dis_figured« // Eva Baumann
The English word ‘figure’ translates into German as ‘Gestalt’, whereas the word ‘disfigured’ means ‘deformed' or 'defaced'’ and has a negative meaning. The solo takes up this linguistic distinction and plays choreographically with its legibility. An unrecognisable person moves as a sculptural picture puzzle, as bizarre as it is strangely beautiful.
Concept, choreography, performance: Eva Baumann
Music: Pauline Oliveros
Short film programme // Curated by Giovanna Thiery (Stuttgarter Filmwinter)
