TANZPAKT– Residenzprogramm

Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance in Kooperation mit der Akademie Schloss Solitude

  • 2019 – 2021
  • Residency program for Contemporary Dancers and Performers
  • Funded by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund

As part of TANZPAKT Stuttgart, an initiative of the Cultural Office of Stuttgart, the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance in cooperation with the Akademie Schloss Solitude, awards a residency grant to contemporary dancers and performers who are not artistically active in the Stuttgart administrative district. By inviting artists from around the world, the program aims to enhance networking and collaboration within Stuttgart’s independent dance scene and to facilitate work on choreographic practice. Furthermore, it seeks to create space for research and artistic production. Applicants must be willing to present their own work and engage in exchange with Stuttgart’s independent dance scene.

Between 2019 and 2021 two fellowships have been awarded each year. The residencies take place in two cycles: January–July and July–December.

A collaboration between Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance as part of TANZPAKT Stuttgart. The alliance between the Cultural Office of Stuttgart, Akademie Schloss Solitude, Freie Tanz- und Theaterszene Stuttgart, Musik der Jahrhunderte, Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance and Theater Rampe establishes sustainable structures for ongoing international exchange regarding artistic production at the highest level and enhances the quality of Stuttgart’s network of dance professionals.
