Jolnar Abu Akel works as a dancer and dance teacher. She completed her dance education at the Matte Asher School of Performing Arts in Israel and also trained as a ballet teacher (Waganowa Method) at the Ballet Seminars Stuttgart with Eva Steinbrecher. Since 2005 she has worked as a dance teacher at various dance schools in Israel and Baden-Württemberg, teaching ballet as well as contemporary dance. She has also worked as a dancer and actress with numerous choreographers, including Sabin Kelian (NDT Dance Theater Holland), Ayman Safia, Wim Vandekeybus (Ultima Ves Dance Company Belgium) and participated in Gaga Dancers workshops at Bat Sheva Dance Company in Israel.
