Monika Loreth completed her training as a contemporary stage dancer and dance pedagogue at the Dance Center Iwanson in Munich. A subsequent Iwanson scholarship for a semester of further training in New York enabled her to deepen her knowledge of Graham, Horton, Limón, and Cunningham techniques.
After her first engagements as a stage dancer with Tanztendenz Munich, she trained as a classical stage dance teacher (Vaganova method) at the Ronecker-Beyer Ballet School in Stuttgart, followed by training as a choreologist at the Benesh Institute in London.
For 25 years, Monika worked as a stage dancer, stage dance pedagogue, and choreographer in Germany and abroad, choreographing and directing numerous full-length pieces. Many of her choreographies won awards at international dance competitions between 2004 and 2015. In order to be prepared for the time after her physically demanding career, Monika studied cultural management at the Institute for Cultural Management in Ludwigsburg and trained as an event manager (IHK) at the ebam Academy for Business and Management in Munich. She successfully completed both courses in 2018 and has since been working throughout Europe in the field of event management and as a production manager.
