Alina Belyagina is a choreographer and dance facilitator working at the intersection of dance, fashion and theater, often incorporating video and text into her work. Born in Ukraine and now based in Munich, Alina began her choreographic journey in Tallinn and has since collaborated with numerous international artists and companies, including United-C, Hege Haagenrud, Isabelle Schad, Claudia Castellucci, Helena Waldmann, and Alexandra Pirici. Her works have been presented at festivals and venues worldwide, such as Want to Dance Taipei, the Laos Contemporary Dance Festival, Euro-Scene Leipzig (audience prize), and the International Solo Tanz Theater Stuttgart (special jury prize), Tanzwerkstatt Europa. She was an artist-in-residence supported by Chanel Culture Fund, CN D Pantin and others and received the prestigious DanceWeb scholarship at Impulstanz in 2023. Alina’s practice explores how dance can generate and transmit knowledge, blending the physical and cognitive to create intellectually resonant and aesthetically compelling work.

Her Profitraining infuses contemporary dance with punk’s raw energy, defying norms and exploring movement as a multifaceted medium – political, organic, cultural. This dynamic profi training cultivates individual expression, body awareness, improvisation, inviting exploration of angular movements, syncopated rhythms, somatic identity. Influenced by Chics on Speed and embracing a transdisciplinary approach, Alina’s training promotes trust, spontaneity, boundary-breaking. It’s an intense and transformative experience, delving into themes of protest, identity, metamorphosis.
