The world of live music, dance, and digital images
Igor Stravinsky created a musical masterpiece with his ballet “Le Sacre du Printemps” (The Rite of Spring). The central motif of this work is the death dance of a young woman who has been chosen by the community as a sacrifice to the god of spring.
Sacre 4.0 takes up this theme and highlights phenomena such as cyberbullying and the pressure that social networks exert on young people. A dancer immerses herself in the seductive networks of a virtual world. She creates her avatar and embarks on a dangerous game. Can she preserve her identity in this game, or does she risk becoming a “victim” herself?
A piano version for four hands arranged by the composer is played by Isolde Jost and Domingos Costa.
After »ALICE lost in cyberland«, »Sacre 4.0« is the second piece in the trilogy LOST | SACRIFIED | REPLACED by MEINHARDT&KRAUSS.
