Excursions into the Other

Three marionettes reveal their creators. Motivated by puppeteer, puppet maker, and director Professor Florian Feisel and coached by the queen of textile humanity, Mechtild Nienaber, third-year students in the puppet theater program dared to encounter themselves in their most uninhibited form.

»Thinner Skin« // Bar Gonen

Between all that we are and the possibility to share it there is a gap that cannot be filled. We are all lonely in a way - separated in bodies where nobody can touch the intangible vastness of our existence. This solitude originates from the assumption that a person cannot truly communicate with another person. The feeling of existence is so unique and strange that it cannot be shared with anyone else, just as one cannot participate in another person’s sense of existence. Inspired from Existentialism in philosophy.
