The fly is considered superfluous, meaningless, a faithful but annoying, obnoxious companion that seeks to defile everything. It is denied intimacy, it is not loved, it is not given a pet name. They beat her to death. Fly Marius and Fly Steffi talk about their bleak everyday lives. Watch out: the males buzz at a higher frequency than the females.

Blurry Memories of a lethal fall // Paco Ladrón de Guevara

As an adaptation of the full-evening piece titled YAGA, this performance introduces an aircraft pilot, a pilot so ambitious to reach the sky that he ended up with nothing but a devastating crash to the ground. This concept will serve as a metaphor for the professional artistic career, prompting us to question the true meaning of the word “success” in the creative field. The higher one tries to get, the harder the fall. The idea for this solo performance is to explore what happens after the crash, after the accident. What happens to the pilot’s body, his bones, and his skin? What happens to his ideas and all his dreams?
