With “Between Skies”, LOKSTOFF!, in cooperation with Kubus e.V., brings a mobile youth theatre project into public space. At its centre is a mobile sukkah – an intercultural meeting space that has been appearing at changing locations in and around Stuttgart for two-week periods since last year, becoming an open gathering place each time. The performance itself is also created directly in and around the temporarily installed sukkah.

Together with 25 young people, we developed a participatory artistic performance exploring themes of belonging, identity, and social cohesion, based on the question: What happens when we truly encounter one another – beyond prejudice, labels, and the noise of headlines?

“Between Skies – Sukkat Salam” invites audiences to explore the in-between: between closeness and distance, belonging and freedom, community and one’s own voice. The performance emerged through an open, collective process involving young people, artists, and theatre educators, combining language, music, and movement.

One sky. Many perspectives. The possibility of dialogue.
