How do freelance artists work? What inspires them? How do the performers find each other? How do their plays come to be? And: what resources do they use?

The new “AmPuls der Freien Szene” series brings viewers up close to the artists and the stories behind the creation of their art. Dance artists kick off the series with the “TanzTour”: Four dancers and choreographers, along with their teams, invite the public to witness—through previews, lectures, introductions, and exploratory sessions—how their latest works take shape, leading up to their premieres, which will take place one after another this fall. Journalist Petra Mostbacher-Dix guides viewers through the various formats of the TanzTour.
