How deeply have fairy tales about love, beauty and feminine fragility shaped the way we think and perceive the world? Beautiful and daily Stonings (the Sleeping Wife) draws inspiration from Talia, Sun and Moon, the tale written in 1634 that later evolved into The Sleeping Beauty. Where tradition chose to see a story of love and a happy destiny, this piece lingers in its darker territories: the sleeping, abandoned body, desire, power and violence.
