Choreographers, dancers, and performers will present their current works and engage in dialogue about them; the evening will become a creative space where critical discourse and inspiration flow together.

Moebius
A movement study on the geometric concept of the Möbius strip (named after the mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius). Through variations on the movement theme, Juliette Villemin invites the viewer on a journey through transitions and interstices. The central question is: “How much can the viewer actually perceive?”

Manquer
The performance explores the French term “manquer” and its range of meanings, such as absence, missing, deprivation, faltering, and going astray. This is achieved through movement, voice, video, and text. Doesn’t presence arise only through the absence of someone or something?

and.I // Work in Progress
Dancer Denny Hartmann’s exploration of Pop Art icon Andy Warhol. Warhol’s personality takes hold of him; he relives Warhol’s childhood illness, tries to assert himself through his own movement language, and, like his idol, collapses, struck down by bullets. Disturbed by the physical assaults, he eventually transforms into Andy’s mouthpiece and, like a manic, male Cassandra, preaches Warhol’s “in fifteen minutes everyone will be famous.” Invited to the 15th International Solo Dance Theater Festival in Stuttgart, the piece will premiere there on March 18, 2011. At SHOWROOM, Denny Hartmann and Antje Jetzky will present a “work in progress.”

Ein Gemeinsames Für-Sich-Sein
"To see nothing, I pulled my coat over my face. Can you tell me what you see? I want to see what you wish to see. Could it be that you exist and I exist only through you?". The piece ultimately leads to the union of two people who use each other as tools.
