The documentary “The Lost Move” by Bernhard M. Eusterschulte, Anika Bendel, and Ebrahim Alfadhala traces the life of Stuttgart-based choreographer Juliette Villemin, who passed away in 2023. It tells the story of the ups and downs of a dancer who—driven by the question of what dance can be—makes her way from classical ballet to contemporary dance: from Bilbao to Stuttgart, from a permanent position at a theater to the often precarious reality of the independent dance scene. A portrait of artistic exploration and movement.
