Katja Erdmann-Rajski studied music education with a major in rhythmics at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. After her subsequent dance training with a focus on contemporary dance, dance theater and expressive dance, she has been producing her own pieces in the border areas of music and dance since 2001. She received a scholarship from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and was twice awarded a conceptual grant from the city of Stuttgart for the series "WahlVer¬wandt¬schaften. Life on the Telephone" and "Etymologiae. TanzVerse in 5 Akten". For "C------H. Jandls Zunge" she received the special prize for an outstanding choreographic achievement at the 2010 Stuttgart Theater Prize. In 2013, her solo piece "Ritus" reached the finalist round at the Stuttgart International Solo Dance Theater Festival, where she herself was a jury member in 2015 and 2022. She has also been teaching in the field of cultural education at the EH Darmstadt since 2003. In 2020, the dance theater Katja Erdmann-Rajski was included in the institutio¬nal cultural funding of the city of Stuttgart.
