Katrin Zimmermann

Katrin has been dancing since the age of 4 and discovered her greatest passion in dance as a child. She received her education as a dancer at different schools (Ballet School Ben Smida, New York City Dance School, Schulees Ballet Hitomi Haas, Ballet Studio Royal ... ) and in the form of numerous workshops and advanced training courses in Stuttgart,Tübingen, Munich and Vienna (Impulstanz). The basis is classical ballet, the further development is contemporary dance. Through the insight into different modern techniques (Limon, Horton, Release, Graham - among others with Joe Alegado, Ismael Ivo, David Zambrano, Sean Feldman, Scott Wells u.v.m....) and bodywork (Yoga, Body-MindCentering, Gyrokinesis, Contact Improvisation) Katrin has a broad spectrum of knowledge and influences. Accompanying her profession as a graphic designer, Katrin completed her pedagogical dance training at the IwansonSchule in Munich in 2007; since 2003 she has been teaching children and young people in creative dance as well as modern dance. In 2015, Katrin also completed her training as a yoga teacher. Since then she has been working exclusively in the field of yoga and dance. Through years of involvement with yoga and dance, she has been developing a combination of the two elements (YOMO-dance) since 2017.

As a dancer Katrin was 2004 - 2008 in some DanceArt events (School of Ballet) in the Theaterhaus to see. 2008 - 2010 she danced on stage at the Wilhelma Theater in performances of the BallettschuleRoyal. 2017 Katrin participated in the piece "Fragen wagen" (Generationen-Tanz Vielfalten der TTW) in Ludwigsburg under the direction of Lisa Thomas and Marina Grün.
